Telenet

Telenet is the largest cable operator In Belgium. Their product Telenet App is the all-in-one app allow customers to get most of the services within a single app. This range from manage products, monitoring usage to setting and diagnosis WiFi. As an agile project that frequently releases new updates, I was responsible for the production, delivery and maintenance of the account, closely communicating design updates and making new design changes on a weekly basis. During different stages of the project, I’ve worked with designers including designer Shannon Sanders, user experience Judith Scheiderer and strategist Lewis Craig.

As an agile project that frequently releases new updates, I was responsible for the production, delivery and maintenance of the account, closely communicating design updates and making new design changes weekly. Challenge: Despite the project being set up in agile, the focus has been primarily on features and little on the experience. The high development effort and limited resources meant it was challenging to be ambitious for designers to push the boundary and set their future vision. We had worked with a lot of legacy rules and constraints so the design doesn't get fully translated into the build. On top of these, the shifting of members on the project and disconnected conversation added additional difficulties on top.

Challenge: With their print-focused rebrand got signed off, the team took this as an opportunity to reimagine the digital future of the app. We started by looking at existing screens and reimagining their key user experience with the new visual languages. After this, we worked backwards and slowly fed it into the intermedium design to the client (an MVP design that contains both the existing framework and the future thinking to lead them towards the outcome). We received positive feedback on the MVP and concept designs with the wider Telenet design team. By doing it this way, we've successfully challenged the current landscape and lifted the design barriers we faced.
